Update — Lessons

We have had a lot of enquiries over the last few weeks regarding lessons, so we wanted to provide a quick update. Our Lead Rein lessons are now fully booked, with a waiting list in place. Our Novice Rider lessons and Group lessons are also fully booked, with waiting lists. We do have a few spaces available for more experienced riders who are confident, balanced, and able to ride basic lateral work. We also have lots of availability for you to bring your own horse to Hurstwood Farm for a lesson with one of our very experienced instructors. Amy Barrington has competed at Prix St George level and specialises in dressage with many years experience training horses and riders of all levels. Jamie Doig has recently joined the team and specialises in jumping and cross country training, and loves teaching riders of all ages and abilities including children. If you'd like to be added to one of our waiting lists or would like to enquire about our experienced rider sessions, please get in touch.

New Team Member — Jamie Doig

We are excited to welcome Jamie as the newest member of the team here at Hurstwood Farm. Jamie is currently enrolled in the Equestrian Sporting Excellence program, an immersive learning experience for talented equestrian athletes at affiliated level. His main role will be to bring on and compete Mike's homebred horses, Poppy and Cola — but you may also be lucky enough to have the odd lesson with him as he supports Michelle and the rest of the yard team with the riding school horses too. For a young rider, Jamie has lots of experience in show jumping, which is his main passion, and he'll be offering lessons to riders on their own horses here at Hurstwood. We look forward to seeing how Poppy and Cola get on this season with the competition diary quickly filling up — and promise to keep you all updated!
